Bachelor of Science Degree

EBBS Overview

Full Sail's online Entertainment Business Bachelor's Degree Program is designed to give you a practical, real-world entertainment business education. To start, you’ll build your knowledge of the business world with introductory courses in subjects like management, marketing, accounting, and more. You’ll be introduced to the world of entertainment business by studying entrepreneurs in the field as you continue to develop your writing skills and begin to study the dynamics and economics of the entertainment industry.

Once you have a solid foundation, you’ll move on to more advanced business courses in subjects like statistics and data analysis, international business, and entertainment business law. Then you’ll round out your training with advanced entertainment specific courses like artist management, entertainment media distribution, and intellectual property.

Finally, you’ll put all this knowledge and experience together to build your own specific business proposal. You’ll be responsible for taking an original idea from start to finish – find your market, create a marketing plan, identify sources of funding, develop financial reports, execute and justify internet strategies and website development, and more.

The combination of this comprehensive business training with entertainment specific courses is designed to prepare you for the business world – either as a creative contributor within an organization, or as part of an entrepreneurial team.

* Students in the Entertainment Business Bachelor’s Degree Program participate in Project LaunchBox, where they purchase an Apple MacBook Pro and software at a deep institutional discount.

Description

How do businesses decide where/to whom/how they are going to market a product? How does a company know what is working for them and what isn’t? Statistics are a crucial tool for decision-making in the entertainment business field. In this course, you’ll study a series of topics that relate to statistics, including measures of central tendency and dispersion, statistical inference, index number, and time series analysis. You’ll also learn how to present the data you gather, and apply the knowledge to solving entertainment business problems in sampling, hypothesis testing, regression and correlation, and trend analysis.
