Rock Band Hits Campus

The bus pulled up, Full Sail rocked out
A week following the release of Rock Band, Harmonix brought the game to Full Sail campus for a day-long event showcasing the innovative new rhythm title. The demo lasted for eight hours, with packs of students and staff stopping by the setup to check out this eagerly-anticipated game.

The event looked more like a professional concert than game demonstration – with the crew rolling up in a gigantic bus specially fitted for the game. The inside was made up like a roadie bus, with guitars and equipment lining the walls, and decked out with three complete Rock Band stations for students to climb onto and start playing.

Four students at a time could get up and play out their rock star fantasies to the crowd. Staff also took the opportunity to grab the mic and belt out some classic rock tunes, including “Paranoid” by Black Sabbath, and Jet’s 2004 hit, “Are You Gonna Be My Girl.”
