Your ability to create compelling graphic design and digital art will be much greater if you understand the foundations of art and design.

This course introduces you to art and architecture in the Western tradition, from the ancient Greeks to the twentieth century. You’ll discuss visual mediums and analyze assigned readings in philosophical, religious, scientific, political, literary, and artistic contexts.
