Art History

Your ability to create compelling films will be much greater if you understand the rich foundation of art on which all media is built. In this course, you’ll be introduced to selected monuments of art and architecture in the Western tradition, from the ancient Greeks to the twentieth century. The course features extensive slide lectures accompanied by discussion of assigned readings in philosophical, religious, scientific, political, literary, and artistic texts.
