History of Motion Picture Arts

You may just be starting film school, but many have come before you. This course explores filmmaking as an art form, as a corporation, and as a system of representation about society and history. You’ll learn all about the development of filmmaking and production from the earliest silent movies to present-day blockbusters, because the more you know about the history of filmmaking, the better your own movies will be.
