Building a career takes time, thought, and research, which is why the Career Development Department is accessible throughout your entire education and well into your career. In addition to the time you invest researching the industry in Full Sail’s Media Center, you are encouraged to visit the department for Open Door. Once you have completed your first 30 days in class, you will be eligible to meet with an industry specific advisor during Open Door hours to discuss questions regarding research, location, resumes, and more. Throughout your term, representatives of CDD will provide guest lectures, present industry guest speakers, and host onsite employer visits, all in an effort to provide you with the current services of our department and latest industry trends.
As you approach graduation you will begin your formal interviews with your assigned Career Development advisor. It is at this time where all of the effort you have put into developing your demo reels, portfolios, cover letters, resumes (word documents and online resume), and references will come into focus. Your grades, attendance records, and GPS score will all be included in consideration of your resume for potential industry opportunities.
By partnering with your advisor, you'll build upon the tools and skills learned in your education as they provide support, guidance, and resources for the journey ahead.
